 a world where digital and physical experiences meet!



The Foundation for The Advancement of STEAM(FAS) is welcoming participants in the 2024 International Mathematical Science Creativity Competition and Conference's Capstone Design Division, "2024 Advancement of STEAM CAPSTONE PROJECT," to enhance the STEAM capabilities that will lead the future society. We welcome the participation of prospective (pre)university students, graduate students, and the general public interested in STEAM education in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics, Education, and other related areas.

Purpose


  • To establish a STEAM culture base and to develop and circulate STEAM-related contents.
  • To encourage new ideas and demonstrate complex products utilizing 4Dframe, the STEAM education modeling tool.
  • Discovery and dissemination of 4Dframe-STEAM education content, programs, and works.
  • To award and encourage innovative STEAM contents that can lead STEAM culture to a further level.

Participants


  • Eligible Participants:

    1) University Students, 2) Graduate Students, 3) General public(including high school students) who are interested in STEAM Education*

  • A team must include 2~5 participants, excluding leading teacher/professor**
    • * Must include at least one (pre)university student or a graduate student in the team.
    • **Leading teacher/professors can lead multiple teams.

Topic


  • Topic : 4Dframe Phygital, a world where digital and physical experiences meet!
  • Contents: Topic-related STEAM Education activities, works, programs, topic study, POC and others based on your major.
  • Details: Select ONE of two types of kits between 4Dframe Math and Science Creativity Kit and 4Dframe Mechatronics for your project.
    • - STEAM Education contents should include the following:1) Unit Activities or works, 2) Educational programs, and 3) Topic Study(Research)
    • - All contestants must utilize 4Dframe kits for their works, activities, programs and/orresearch contents.

Official Kit for the Competition


  • Each participating team(2~5 people) should utilize one type of 4Dframe kit between 4Dframe Math and Science Creativity Kit and 4Dframe Mechatronics.
  • More 4Dframe materials can be used if necessary.

Evaluation Standards


  • Teams fulfilled document requirements will be evaluated based on the Capstone Project Evaluation Standards*.
  • *First and Main Competition Evaluations will take place by 3 major area experts appointed by the Foundation(FAS).
  • 10 highest scored team will be selected in the First Evaluation(Document) as qualifiers for the Main Competition(Based on scores out of 100).
  • Main Competition Evaluation will take place on-site. Document(100) + Main Competition Evaluation(100) = Total score will be rated out of 200.
