“4Dframe Education within the National Curriculum ”
Presentation 1
4Dframe in Transformative Education – Philippe Longchamps
Philippe is a teacher and Head of Department at the Bilingual Montessori School of Lund (BMSL). Born in Canada and moved to Sweden in 2002, he is teaching STEAM curriculum focusing on history, geography and technology. He spread his unique teaching method to the world in numerous conferences, lectures and seminar in various countries such as Portugal, Korea, Canada and Sweden. He has won ‘Best Teacher in Sweden 2020’ award and was among Top 50 for the ‘Global Teacher Prize’ in 2021.
His book “Transformative Education” is a multi-year project-based 4Dframe workshop in which students not only learn to innovate and are stimulated to come up with solutions to real-world problems, but also explain why and how various inventions that exist was born. This book also presents various examples of convergence education that emphasizes the connection between technological development and history by learning experientially and actually implementing the replica with 4Dframe.
Presentation 2.
The Possibility of implementing 4Dframe Education Program to the AI Subject of National Curriculum of Korea 2022 Revision. – Hyemin Yang
Hyemin Yang is an elementary school teacher at the Science Exhibition Hall of the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education in South Korea. After graduating from the Department of AI Science Convergence Education at Seoul National University of Education, she has the qualifications of a gifted education instructor and an invention teacher at the Korean Intellectual Property Office. She has won numerous awards, including the Minister of Education Award for after-school education, the Superintendent of Education Award based on parental recommendation, the Minister of Environment Award at the Ecology Club Exploration Contest at the National Institute of Ecology, the Minister of Education Award for AI Convergence Education Class Guidance, and the 1st grade in the National Contest for Education Information Research.
Hyemin recently developed and applied a STEAM program to improve AI literacy, fun collaboration between AI and science classes, ‘With the help of AI, the butterfly will come back’ project, self-driving vehicles, AI coding, AI for sea turtle, AI Based on project ideas, AI-related research papers such as developing super capabilities and has developed a number of field education activities and programs.
